About Dr. Qi Luo

Dr. Qi Luo is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at Aalborg University . His research focuses on sustainable and multifunctional cementitious materials at the intersection of cement chemistry, microbial systems, and energy materials.​

Prior to joining Aalborg University, he held research positions at Aarhus University, the National University of Singapore, and Chongqing Jiaotong University, and was awarded a Humboldt Fellowship at RWTH Aachen University. He received his PhD in 2020 through a joint doctoral program between the University of California, Irvine (USA) and Guangxi University (China).

 In 2025, he received the Young Researcher Award of the International Conference on Damage Mechanics (ICDM), a prestigious award given every two years to one researcher worldwide under the age of 40.
