At C-BEAM Lab, we investigate how traditional construction materials can evolve into functional and sustainable infrastructure systems.

Our research combines cement chemistry, electroactive microorganisms, energy materials, and life-cycle assessment to design the next generation of low-carbon and energy-active cementitious materials.

Through interdisciplinary approaches, we aim to bridge materials science, microbiology, and sustainability engineering, contributing to the transformation of the built environment toward a greener future.
